Downer
They fixed it...I hope! I will spare you the entire story but I personally don't want my dentists looking at xrays and saying "How can that be?" Then in the next breath, "Those aren't even her xrays!" The awful thing I heard today after an hour of torture and reassurance that everything was fine was, "How did that just happen?" Oh my GOD I was in dental hell! So needless to say I am still tender but I am hoping that tenderness is all that is left and we will be on the up hill from here!
My energy level has been a bit low but I promise pics the next time I post
P.S. I am going to refuse any kind of dental work aside of cleaning for at least 5 years! I have met my quota in a week.

Time Flies!
"Papa?"
Papa and Aunt Kate went to see Aunt Kristin and Uncle AJ this week...this has caused a few fits at our house. Usually we just walk across the street and see Papa when Logan wants to. Try explaining to a one year old that Papa isn't home and isn't coming home tonight...lets just say it didn't go so hot.
Logan has started saying some of the cutest(yet annoying) things. One of his favorite things is the moon. He wants to look out every window lookig for the moon. He spends most of the daytime walking around saying "Moon? Moon? Stars? Moon?" After awhile I find myself wishing night time would hurry up and get here so the stinkin' moon could be out! It is very cute though. He has also started imitating some of the things I say. My favorites so far are "Honey" and "Oh goodness!" We have found ourselves laughing at his vocabulary here lately.
Today we attended the funeral of a close family friend. It was a tough one to be at for me. I think I do ok at funerals usually. Maybe it was just that I was pregnant and hormonal or maybe it's that I just wasn't ready to say goodbye..not quite sure. But it was emotional for me. My heart aches for the family. I have spend lots of time this week praying for comfort for them.
I have to work tomorrow so it's off to bed for me. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sunny Day
It waS 82 degrees today! While Daddy was hard at work in the garden with the rotortiller, Logan and Mommy decided a trip to the park was much needed. And how else to enjoy a hot day but with a Route 44 cherry limeade? As you can see from the above pic, we didn't get a whole lot accomplished at the barber shop. But, Logan did lose the curls that were falling over his ears and on the back of his neck. He also lost a little length on top!

Not So Happy
My once so happy one year old has been a barrel of misery for the past few nights. I'm not sure if he is getting new teeth or what but man is he cranky! He has been throwing awful fights(I mean awful!) and hitting. He can just have gotten reprimanded for hitting and allowed to return to normal activities them he hauls off and smacks me again!
I am so tempted to spank him but he just just screams louder and for longer and that my nerves can't handle right now. I know that he is the spoiled rotten beast that we created but I cetainly didn't tech him to hit. I have a feeling it's gonna be a long weekend for daddy. He also hasn't been sleeping well. Just to fry your already worn out nerves add no sleep to the mix! This too shall pass...that's what I have to keep telling myself.

It's the weekend!
Well after a busy week we had a nice, calm weekend. Saturday Logan and I went to Cassoday to hang out with Ethi. We spent the morning talking about our growing pregnant bellies and watching her silly goats romp around in the field next to the house. She found out last week that she is having a boy. We will have so much fun!
Saturday night was spent lounging in front of the TV watching movies...I know, probably not the most stimulating thing for Logan but Mommy and Daddy needed it! Logan is working on counting. He can say the numbers up to six and when you say a number he almost always says the correct next number! Definitely still needs work but it's so fun to watch him grow and learn!
This is proving to be a busy month with lots of changes!

Come On Nice Weather!
The park with the ducks is fun. It has toddler swings and lots of room to run. But the play equipment is aimed for bigger kids and Logan can't climb any of it without me.
The park we went to today is smaller, but newer. It is handicapped accessible so Logan can climb everything by himself due to the ramps. There are handicapped swings but no toddler swings...a definite downside. This park was crazy busy though. As a dog owner myself I was NOT impressed with the two dogs that were there today.
Now I know I'm pregnant but I don't think I am unreasonable. The first dog was a barking, chasing, darting, obnoxious little weiner dog mix of some sort. He was at least on leash but would run all the was to the end of the leash 6 inches from you before being yanked back. His stupid owner stood there on a cell phone, smoking a cigarette and not watching her children whatsoever. When the smallest fell off the equipment and hit her head I couldn't help but notice how long it took this stupid lady to figure out that it was HER child screaming! Ok, so as if your stupid dog and your nasty cigarette weren't enough...why even be there if you aren't going .to at least keep an eye on your kids?
By the time the second dog showed up I had had enough. He was a huge yellow lab...not on leash. He would run right up to where you were sitting and slobber all in your face. He would also climb and run all over the equipment(I guess the bad part about handicapped play equipment is that dogs can do it too!). He climbed up the stairs Logan was playing on several times and knocked him over. I couldn't help but glare at the owners as I carried my toddler to the truck.
So, I guess I am going to have to gain some more tolerance somehow for stupid, inconsiderate, socially inept dog owners who bring both their children and their ill-mannered pets to the park! Otherwise it could be a long summer. As you can see, Logan had a great time and was pretty much unaffected by all the activity.
