Double Trouble

These two keep an already busy Mama on her toes!  The are forever rolling and wrestling all over the floor.  I pick up and 5 sec later it appears a tornado has hit my living room...make that 2 tornadoes.  But, they are so much fun to watch and laugh at!

Logan had his Adenoids out today.  He did pretty well with the process...not so great waking up from anesthesia.  He was a trooper while waiting to go back.  They didn't put any ivs or anything in until he was asleep so he was fine that.  However when he woke up he was screaming and writhing like a snake.  Mama had a difficult time holding on to him and keeping him from pulling out his IV.  They had to give him some demerol and let him rest a bit more.

He still wasn't going to do anything we asked him to when he woke up.  He refused fluids but you know the nurse in me got about a teaspoon down him and we were cleared for dismissal.  Nana was home watching Gavin when we got there and had fun things to share from her Orlando trip.

So for now Logan is resting, we are trying to keep up the Tylenol, Motrin and fluids!



Road Trip {4/21/12-4/22/12}

Here are some pics of Logi's trip with Papa.  I was told of all the things to do and see at Silver Dollar City, the leisurely train ride was his absolute favorite.  Dad did say though that he loved all the rides, rode the roller coaster several times.  He survived the day without a nap but was out by 8:30p.m.  Up at 4:30 a.m. and they were on the road back home!

Papa and Lisa took Logan this weekend so Gavin has been hanging out with the parental units and getting a little bit spoiled!  We do miss Logan...the house is much too quiet, too clean and too calm!  But it is nice to spend some one on one time with the baby and not feel like we are missing out on what the toddler is doing.  Pictures of Logan's weekend soon to follow!

Dad took Logan tonight as they are leaving early in the morning for Branson....so while facebook stalking Lisa I find these adorable pics!  Dad built a "fishing pond" in the back yard just to they could catch fish together.

Evening Playdate

 

We have been missing our friends so tonight they came over for dinner and a playdate.  Abby and I's schedules seem to be exactly opposite right now.  I always love when our kids play together because they wear each other out!!!

Smile for the Outdoors!!!

After the storms last night we spent some time outside today enjoying the weather.  My boys do love to be outside.  Gavin is at that wiggly awful stage though where he is too squirmy to hold yet I really don't want to put him on the ground to crawl around in the dirt.  I'm not praying for him to grow any faster but it's really difficult to keep Logan entertained inside all the time!  Can't wait for summer and concrete so we can go to the pool and enjoy the water.

Date Night & KS Weather

As I am sure most of you know, there weather was a bit windy in good 'ol KS this weekend.  Saturday was Steve and I's first date night out on about 2 months.  We had tickets to see Miranda Lambert, Kate's new boyfriend surprised her with tickets also and Nana was keeping the boys.

We had planned for a nice funfilled evening complete with a restful night of sleep.  Yeah, right!  They shut the concert down after Miranda had performed 3 whole songs saying we were in the direct path of a tornado...stay calm and in your seats.  Yeah, right!  Lets just say as soon as we could leave we did  We couldn't get any cell phone reception and wanted to be able to leave for town if we needed to.  It seemed that we had dodged the tornado in downtown Wichita but predictions were for it to head right towards El Dorado.  We ended up at my sisters boyfriends house for the rest of the evening just hanging out and playing cards.

I am certain that my mother could give you a quite detailed description of their evening spent in our creepy basement playing flashlight tag.  I am just thankful that we were all safe and our property sustained little to no damage.  Prayers go out right now to those less fortunate than use who are scraping up what is left of their property after the tornados, hail and wind.

We did manage to catch a quick picture though, Kate and I.  And we did get some rest, about 5 hours to be exact...ALL IN A ROW...before heading back to El Dorado on Sunday a.m.  Maybe next time the weather can be a bit more cooperative.

What a...week?

Yeah, yeah....so I am in trouble...bloggy probation.  Was it really 5 days between posts?  Sorry about that!  I know you all have been dying to see these cute little boys but tonight when I got home all I could seem to catch were their behinds on camera!  Honestly I was too tired to fight them.  I am trying to pull some extra shifts while Steve is home and it doesn't leave much energy for picture taking or blogging.   :(  But here they are and they are sweet...so that should count for something!

Easter {2012}

Easter was kind orf low key at our house this year!  We did make it to church but I didn't spend an outrageous amount of $ on cute little suit or anything.  With Steve losing his job last week the budget has been pretty crunched!  But the easter bunny did come.  Logan got a train and Gavin got book.  My kids are so spoiled by everyone else we probably didn't need to get them a thing.

We went to moms for lunch with the family then Dad, Lisa, Kate and Tyler came over for a steak dinner at our house.  It was yummy.  Logan did so much egg dying with all our friends and at daycare and he was the only kiddo at lunch so we didn't even do eggs today!  Somehow, I don't think he even missed it.

Bunnies and Brothers

Needless to say, trying to get too wiggly little boys to look at the camera isn't as easy as one!  But here are few favs from our session with Rosario.  She brought bunnies since it was so close to Easter and Logan was COMPLETELY in love with them.  Gavin just wanted to eat the fur...then again I am pretty sure he would try to eat anything that didn't move too fast.  Sometimes its difficult to grasp that these handsome little devils are mine.

I love that Logan's personality seems to jump off the screen at me.

At 2 1/2 Logan is 36 inches tall, weighs 31 pounds and is full of energy!

He is sleeping usually 8-9 hours at night.

He is scheduled to have his adenoids removed on the 26th of this month to help with with sleep apnea and chronic congestion.

He still takes a 1-2 hour nap in the afternoon(thank the Lord!).

Logan is my happy, outgoing, giggly, loving, adorable little man!

Friendly Egg Fun

Mommy needed a night with her girlfriends and the kids needed their friends too!  So, tonight we decided to get together, dye eggs and have a grand 'ol time.  There were a few egg dying spills, but we had a great time.  Logan was so tired he practically fell into bed...every mothers dream!  I have the best girlfriends and their kids are wonderful.  I hope they know I would do anything for them and that I consider their kids my own!  If anything ever happens to my husband and I, I know my kids will be in wonderful hands.   These girls have gone to school with me since grade school and there is just something cool about that!
