Daddy Love

Logan has been loving him some Daddy here lately!

He walks like Daddy, talks like Daddy, likes to sit around without a shirt on like Daddy...

I must say, I find it adorable!

Expressive

I have very expressive children...in many ways.  Logan is very vocal, Gavin loves to talk with his eyes.  If I remember correctly Logan was like this at Gavins age too.  I hope that doesn't mean the Gavin is going to be just like Logan!  I'm not quite sure the world could take two Logan Taylors.  LOL.   Ok, that sounded a bit harsh but I really didn't mean for it too.

Logan has been singing up a storm here lately.  Gavin just sits back and watches.  We sing everything from the Caillou theme song to "Springsteen" by Eric Church.  I have to say though, he is pretty darn good! There is never a dull moment at my house with these super expressive boys!

Icecream anyone?

We have been staying as cool as we can...including evening doses of chocolate icecream!

Sick Boy?

Would you ever know from this pictures that this boy has been running a fever for the past 36 hours?  I sure wouldn't.  Wedsnight he spiked a temp of 101 but I figured it was just teeth since one of his upper left teeth poked through on Weds.  However, when we gave meds and woke Thurs a.m. to a temp of 102.8 it was clear that wasn't the case.  I had new employee orientation here in town so Daddy took him to the doctor.

They drew labs but everything looked fine.  He's eating and drinking but the fever rages on.  It broke for about 2 hours late this morning then came right back.  Right now we are just watching him closely for any other symptoms.  Puzzling to say the least...and the kid has been in a pretty darn good mood considering I would think he should feel like crap!

Anyhow heres a pic of our febrile cutie.  Logan is off enjoying some special time with Nana.  Pics to come soon I am sure!

Haircut

Logan has been boycotting hair cuts for awhile now.  I had finally found someone who would tolerate to cut his hair then she ended up moving salons.  Partner that with the fact that I am pretty much working every day now and it had been over 6 months(almost a year!) since we had cut Logan's hair.  He was starting to scream when we towel dried him or even put a shirt on because it would pull.

I decided I would just cut it.  Well after about 10min with him screaming and crying and me cutting my finger I decided that wasn't happening.  We put the issue to bed for the night.  Today, we decided Daddy was gonna buzz him, like it or not!

So they above pic is after the buzz.  It actually went fairly well.  With me distracting him and it being such a short process we didn't have any tears until the very end.  I will say, I miss my blonde haired boy and we will be letting it grow back.  This new do will be great for this summer though!

Fathers Day 2012

My boys love their Daddy.  They have become quite a bit closer to him recently since he has been laid off and they spend tons of time together.  We spent time today just celebrating Steve and what a great Daddy he is! 

Bathtime Fun

My boys love, love, LOVE bathtime!  Here's a cute pic I caught tonight.  Daddy was scooping up bubbles and blowing them out of his hand, all over the tub and walls!  What a fun Daddy...I never tire of listening to these two laugh and giggle.  For some reason bath time has become an all time favorite at this house.

Gavin {8 Months}

Dear Gavin,
  At 8 months I have no idea how much you weigh...You have been SUCH a healthy boy and we haven't been to the doctor since your 6 month check-up.  But, I can tell you are growing!  You wear mostly 12 month, some 18 month clothes.  You are quickly growing out of your size 3 diapers and can easily wear size 4(same size your brother who weighs twice what you do, is in!).  You are ever so expressive!  I never tire of watching you.  You will still eat baby food...if we make you.  However you much prefer to eat ground up table food or anything you can  get ahold of, off of our plates.  You are still strictly a breastmilk baby.  You nurse or take a bottle every 3-4 hours(4-7oz as best as I can tell by my pump and your bottle amounts).  You walk easily along furniture and behind push toys.  It won't be long til you are a walking fool and won't need any assistance as you have started letting go at times!  I am saddened to think you  might be my last "baby" as I am not in any way ready to be done with the baby stage.  You say, "Mama, Dadda, Bubba" along with all your other sounds as you are quite verbal(a side effect from your brother, no doubt).  I love you so much!  You are so awesome to watch and observe.

Mommy's Birthday 2012-{Love}

Tonight I came home from work and found presents from my boys...a nice bottle of wine, chocolate, and a gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure!  More importantly, they were FULL of love...for each other and for me.  I love when we have a nice, relaxed, no fighting, no yelling, everyone-goes-to-bed-happy kind of evening!  Nice "Happy Birthday to Mommy" boys!
