Auntie/Uncle Time

We went over to Nana's tonight for some family time since AJ was in town.  Had to catch this picture after all the kids dog-piled into the chair with Aunt Kate and Uncle Tyler.

Current Hobbies

Today was apparently Logan's day to be camera shy.  But the other two were little hams.  Gavin is still stuck in his Spiderman phase,,,all things Spiderman, all the time. Kate is entering a baby doll phase.  She wants to diaper, dress, feed, wrap and cuddle her baby all the time.  It is truly adorable to watch.

What a Surprise!

Tonight as we had just finished getting kids out of the bath and dishes done, I saw someone walking through our yard.  As I walked through the house to check it out, I saw my brother's car in our driveway.  I then proceeded to start shrieking and barrel out the front door just in time to leap off of the porch into his arms...good thing he caught me.

All the while Steve and the kids are inside trying to figure out why the heck I have gone so mad.  I am sure glad the neighbors weren't outside to witness the whole thing.  AJ didn't tell anyone except Ali that he was coming home this weekend for a good friend's wedding.  And I felt privileged that we were one of his first stops when he got to town.

After some Uncle lovins we did let him leave, but plan to spend some more time with him before he heads home on Monday!

Halloween in April

I don't know how we managed to forget to take any pictures of the kids today!  Our kids love Halloween and dressing up.  So a group of us decided to throw them a mid-year Halloween bash.  The kids all got into costume.  We planted treats at my neighbors' houses then walked the block collecting from different houses.

After that, of course they needed to refuel.  Fingers foods and Mommy's famous cookies fit the bill just right.  In attendance today were Holli, Logan, Gavin, Kate, Abby, Payton, Grayson, Kirbie, Madison, Lyndsee, Derek, Berkley, Brendan, Maycee, Stephanie, Austin, Brayden, Kylie, Lisa and Trace.  What a fun idea!  I think we are going to have to make a tradition out of this,

Easter 2014

The Easter bunny visited us this morning in a very unique way.

He left clues for the kids, a scavenger hunt of sorts, to find their basket.

Instead of little meaningless things, they had one big basket that contained a movie that they have all been wanting as well as a treat for each kiddo.

It was fun to watch them find the eggs that held the clues.

We ran to the FUMC egg hunt before Mommy had to do nursery at church. 

Kate doesn't look to happy but I promise a good time was had by all!
