Other News...

No...stop it...we are not expecting!  I took Gavin back to the ophthalmologist today.  We showed up without his glasses(he broke them Tuesday evening for the first time ever) and I don't think the Dr. was impressed.

I was very honest that it has been difficult to get him to wear them despite behavioral consequences.  I really do think it will be better next week when they start back in d(this is supposed to encourage him to wear them by making it so where he can't see farther than a foot without them).  Then, in two weeks will start patching his good eye for 2 hrs a day to make the bad eye work harder and hopefully correct the muscles.  We shall see...

Trying to Stay Busy...

The days are getting long cooped up in this house together.  All our friends have either been sick or are out of town and we miss our play dates.  Katelyn is now grabbing at and holding onto toys and it is so fun watching her grow.  My allergy symptoms have finally subsided with the hard freeze but man I hate not being able to let these kiddos outside!

Happy, Happy

Sister was in such a good mood tonight and Daddy had her laughing like a mad person...she was so cute!

Nana's Helper

Logan went to stay with Nana tonight to be her big helper and this is the picture Mommy got tagged in on facebook!  He loves to bake/make candy/do anything in the kitchen.  He is so not a messy baker either.  However, the sprinkle part is another story!

Christmas Magic

The kids got up this a.m. and ran straight for the tree.  I sat there smiling to myself as Logan was explaining the magic of Christmas to Gavin.  He was also explaining that we give gifts because kings brought gifts to baby Jesus...priceless!

New Years Eve 2013

Can we just say it wasn't a good evening at our house?  The day started out rough.  Logan wasn't feeling well so he stayed home with Daddy then spent some time with Lisa in the afternoon.  I didn't really know what was wrong, could just tell he wasn't himself.  I worked all day.  When Daddy picked up the 2 little ones from daycare, the other kids were all puking....Oh no!

When we got home, Logan was running a fever and wouldn't eat or drink.  One look at his throat and I knew he had strep.  I had just gotten over strep last week.  So Steve took him to lab to get swabbed and the test was of course +.  We are so lucky to have a hometown pharmacy with a pharmacist on call.  3 hrs later, Logan had his antibiotics and by 10:30 everyone was tucked into bed.  As Steve and I laid down I was saying how lucky we were just to have strep in our house and not be cleaning up puke.

At 11:58 P.M. Gavin woke up screaming. Steve went in to their room, crawled into bed with him and Gav puked all over him.  Mommy got up to help clean up the mess.  45min later, he was snuggled up on his floor with his magic tea and drifting back to dreamland.  I think this is the first stomach bug any of my kids have EVER had.  Why did I curse us by saying how lucky we were to have avoided it?

Here's to hoping tomorrow is a better day.
