Around the hotel

Why not just a "DEAD END" sign?
Who drives 7 MPH?

Christopher enjoying the pool

Funky trees...I thought we were in TX?

Fogotten plants...I think this was on purpose but looks like what could happen at my house on accident!

Steve relaxing on the patio

I have no idea what kind of flower this is but isn't it pretty?
We made it home safe. Safe with the exception of covered in glass. Something big hit our windshield and we are going to have to replace it. It was so big and hit hard enough that the shatter proof glass even shattered the glass on the inside and all over Steve and I! We were not cut though so all is well. To be quite honest I'm surprised we made it home without the whole thing blowing out. I am going through all my pictures and trying to decide which are my favs of AJ and the family to put on the blog. More to come later!

A Glimpse

Coin Ceremony
Mom, AJ and Dad

Kristen and AJ

Logan sporting his "Uncle wear"

For those of you that can't read the shirt it says "My Uncle is in the Air Force"

AJ at honor graduate ceremony

First AJ and Logan picture since December

Here's a glimpse into the graduation acitvities. We made it onto base in time to watch the airmen's run. Then it was off to the coin ceremony. I won't lie...it was cold, wet and rainy and...well...for lack of better terminology it sucked! But it was very touching to watch my brother be called an airmen for the first time and receive that promotion.

Since my bub is such an acheiver(I'm not proud at all am I?) we also got to attend the honor graduate ceremony where he was recognized with some of his fellow airmen/women.

We spent the afternoon chilling at a restaraunt on base, just enjoying AJ's company. Tomorrow morning is the graduation parade. AJ will have some "town pass" time after that. You'll never guess what he wants to do during his time off base. Okay, some of you might...he wants to come back to the condo, chill out and play pinocle! I can't wait.

We are driving back tomorrow night in order to once again make things as easy as possible on Logan. He did pretty well on the way here until we hit the Austin rush hour morning traffic and since we won't have that on the way back we are hoping to make good time. It is extremely difficult to drive at night though, especially without any sleep. Be praying for us for a safe trip home. Can't wait to show off more pics and share more on Saturday.

We Made It!

After driving all night last night we made it to our hotel around 9:30 a.m. this morning. We only had traffic the last three hours of the trip and didn't get lost at all with the exception of not being able to find the right driveway to our hotel! We're all tired...okay not Logan but the rest of us. He did well, only threw two fits that he had to scream himself out of because there was simply no way to pull over. Hopefully I'll have some pics tomorrow.

We did venture out to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch but it was raining and my hands were full. I didn't even take the camera in...bad mommy. We can't wait to see AJ tomorrow!

Choas...truly

Most of you who know me, know that it was my weekend to work this weekend. So, no posts until now and no pics. But, there's always tomorrow...ugh, tomorrow...has to be the only day I am dreading more than Tuesday this week.

Tuesday night we leave for Texas. I am dreading it horribly and also horribly excited. Tomorrow there are bills to pay, cookies to frost, a Walmart trip, things to pack, four people to pack...including the baby.

Thank goodness for my wonderful husband who has helped more than he knows by cleaning the house this weekend. At least maybe now I can find what it is I need to pack in the first place! Hopefully I will catch a few shots of our darling amidst the chaos. Christopher comes home Tuesday after school and Aunt Kati comes to town to ride with us also. It's gonna be a mad dash to the finish.

Our first family vacation as a four-some. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it! My lovely blogging friend over at Just Breathe has so kindly tipped my off that it is National Organization Month...one month late of course! Maybe this will inspire me as I pack tomorrow. I always overpack but there is absolutely no room for it this trip. I have already decided that I can't live without the stroller, pack and play and the swing(it folds up and is in lieu of the bumbo or highchair for feedings) and thankfully mom will be bringing the pack and play and the swing in their vehicle.

More to come tomorrow...to tired to write anymore tonight.

Playdate

Do you think one day when our children are older that they will share and play this well? I am guessing, not. Today Payton kept trying to climb up on Logan completely "gut checking" him. Abby told Payton that someday Logan was going to be big enough to get back at her. Someday he was gonna walk by her and kick her legs right out from underneath her...then smile and say, love ya! And we are all gonna laugh and tell Payton that she deserves everything that he dishes out for all the times she wooped up on him before he was big enough/old enough/ bold enough to do anything about it! I must say though, for being five months younger than Payton with a head bigger than hers I think he holds his own!
