Christmas 2012 {With Friends}

Squeezing all this Christmas in is hard work!  So, we decided to get together tonight and let the kids open their gifts from each other.  We missed Tristan as he didn't get out of wrestling practice until late.  Dare I say Gavin has this paper ripping thing down?  We are blessed!

Mommy's Helper

While Gavin was napping this afternoon Logan helped me decorate cut out cookies for my cookie exchange at work.  This boy sure does love to help cook!  Sprinkles are just about the best invention ever.  To avoid some of the mess, we dumped them onto a paper plate and pressed the cookies into them.  WAAAAAY less messy than the last time we did sprinkles.

PJ fun

My boys aren't huge on jammies, so when they both wanted to wear them tonight we had fun picking them out!  I love babies in pjs.  What could be cuter and more comfy?  I can't wait for Christmas.  I think Santa is bringing the boys a very special gift...Mommy would like to reclaim her laptop!

Oh Brother!

This is the "I know I am not supposed to be in here!"  look.
Wearing Bubbas hat...looks like a "Little Thugglet" as Mama calls him.
My little hams playing well together.
My posts will probably be pretty brief as I don't have another day off til the 21st!  Let the joyous/crazy/exhausting/cheerful Christmas chaos begin!

Double Trouble-Monkey See, Monkey Do

Gavin so much wants to be like his big brother.  He follows Logan everywhere, wants to do what Logan does, wants to eat what Logan eats...its honestly adorable!  That is, until Logan is being cross do doing something he isn't supposed to and then you have two of them doing something wrong to deal with! Lol.

Last night the boys stayed with Nana and Steve & I went to Tyler and Kate's for some adult interaction.  We had a good time...think we got to bed about midnight.  By 4:40 a.m. Nana was texting to let me know my precious babes had been up since 4 a.m.  Joy!  I am beginning to think that maybe next time Kate and Tyler can come to our house and maybe the boys will sleep better.  It wasn't much of a "good nights sleep" for any of us.  Four hours is about what we get every night at home.

These little troube makers are learning all sorts of new tricks.  Gavins vocabulary has been exploding(including a word or two I would rather he not say).  I can't believe it is almost Christmas!  I got all my shopping done in one day yesterday and I'm very relieved to know we stayed within our budget.  This is always a hard time of year for me to be aware of that!

So Sweet

I woke up when the alarm went off this a.m. and thought to myself, "That was a rough night!"  We have been having trouble with Logan and his sleep patterns here lately.  Since Gav is usually up nursing quite a but from 0300-0500 it almost feels like they are tag teaming!

However, as I was using the flat iron I turned around and this is the scene.  How totally sweet is this?  These poor boys are exhausted too!  If only Mama didn't have to work and be out of the house by 0615 six days a week...maybe we could learn to sleep in.  I hated to wake them as they were all so very quiet...and still!

There is nothing like cuddly babies to make a Mommy feel so very blessed.

What a nice day...until the cat bit!

Today was  gorgeous day for December in KS as temps were in the low 70s.  The boys had fun playing outside, riding bikes, helping Daddy wash the vehicles.  It was all fun and games until a neighborhood cat got ahold of Logan!

The cat doesn't belong to anyone, isn't vaccinated but also not ferrel. He is usually quite nice, not sure why the lash out today.  Since it was the weekend we called the cops to come pick it up to take to animal control.  The cops came, but the cat didn't leave with them.  One of the neighbors picked up to give the the cops and that cat came unglued!  Poor Jacks arms was way more bloody than Logans.

Darn cat!  I think Logan learned something about playing with animals we don't know very well though.

Update: 12/3/12 Logans arms doesn't appear to be infected and is healing well.
