Silliness

Oh these three...they wore their Daddy out last night!  I came home from my first 4 hr shift back to work and steam was rolling out of Daddy's ears(he had only been home for 2 hours) which tells me that the boys were doing their best job at irritating him to no end.  They are really good at it when they want to be...gotta love that about some ornery boys!

We spent the day at home today hanging out, loving on each other and working on being nice.  This afternoon we went to Grandma Dixie's and Papa Marvins new house to take them some boy toys for their toy box!  They were adorable explaining all their toys to their great grandparents.

This little gal will absolutely NOT smile for a pic with her brothers...it makes me giggle, just a bit.  She is, however, full of smiles and spunk for the camera as long as the two evil blondies aren't in the picture.  Oh(sigh), do we have a princess our hands?

Hooray for Playdates

I neglected to take pictures but today my friend from work and her two kiddos came over to play/hang out.  Gabe will be 3 in January and loves all things trains...lets just say he had a great time with the boys.  Eleanor is about 3.5 weeks younger than Katelyn and loves all things booby!  Just kidding of course.  The mommies had a great time sitting around and nursing the babies, discussing lack of sleep, pukey clothes, how to get more laundry done faster/in few loads and watching the boys play together.  We are so glad they could bless us with their visit!

Dental Work

Logan and Mommy went to the dentist this a.m. for some dental work.  Logan had 2 fillings done and was an absolute trooper. He did so well that I wasn't even in the room with him but was actually across the hall having my work done at the same time.  When he was done, he came and told me all about the "bug pincher" that numbed him and the various other tools that were used.  I am so glad that my dentist office is so great with kids.  I switched dentists when I was pregnant with Gavin and ended up getting 2 root canals.  I hadn't had xrays since before I got pregnant with Gavin.  I wasn't surprised when they found multiple teeth needing work.  We only did 3 of them today.

While we were at the dentist, my good friend Megan and her two littles(age 20months and 4 months) entertained Gavin and Katelyn.  Megan is truly my hero.  She has gone through so much to get her kiddos, bedrest, infant loss x 2, failed adoptions but now she has 2 beautiful girls that have made it all worthwhile.  She does everything she does with a happy heart.  Her girls are both bi-racial.  My boys love staring into their dark eyes and playing with their curly hair.  I love how children see past color and right into the soul.  I am pretty sure I couldn't handle two infants, a 1 & a 2 year old.  Hero is definitely her word!

Sibling Love and Glasses Update

These boys do love their sister...to the point that we fight over who is holding her when. first, how long, next...Lordy sometimes it is exhausting!

Gavin is beginning to wear his glasses more consistently for me.  We surprisingly haven't had to take them in for repair yet.  I rescheduled his check up til the first week of December since it took so long to get his glasses in and get him to start wearing them.  Hopefully they will see improvement!
