I forgot Gavin's measurement at his doctors appt last month and had to wait for his ear recheck to ask for them! So his post is a little late, but here it is.
At 18 months:
1. You weighed 22lbs 11oz(11th percentile)
2. You were 31 1/2 inches long((24th percentile)
3. Head measured 18 1/2 inches around(25th percentile)
You are a little guy but man are you strong! You knock over your big brother like he is nothing. What you lack in size, you make up for in sheer strength. We are working in getting rid of your binkie. You can go several hours during the day without it now. As you lose the binkie, it is so fun to listen to your speech come alive. You have always been appropriate on speech but only when prompted. Now you carry on full conversations(we can understand about half of it!). Your latest phrases are "love ya" and "sorry." You now understand what it means when someone says ouch and coming running to tell them you are "sorry" and give love!
Sleep is going better. You are out of Mommy's bed. You won't sleep through the night so we have you sleeping in the guest bedroom instead of with Logan. You sleep about 9p.m.-1 or 2 a.m. then need Daddy to lay back down with you. Since Mommy has stopped nursing you, you have become quite the Daddy's boy. It is so fun for Mommy to watch.
You are so very opposite of your brother. Logan is clean, you think the messier the better. If there is coffee in trashcan you are dragging it out on my floor. If there is a can of pop, you have dumped it everywhere. If Logan spilled a drop on his shirt, he'd have to change. Sometimes I could promise that you use yours as a painting canvas. If there is something happening you want to see it and if there is a new toy or gadget, you want to figure it out! Logan is very serious, you are very silly. Logan will "tell me off" when he is in trouble, you stick out your chin and growl then stomp your feet. It is very clear that the parenting styles it will take to raise you both into loving little men will be very different.
You are beginning to understand that there is a baby in Mommy's belly. It isn't enough just to talk about it, we have to pull up Mommy's shirt and SEE the baby. Oh sweet Gavin, how your world will soon change. You are my happy-go-lucky, love-me-to-death, laugh-until-I-cry little man. We have so enjoyed the wonderful addition you are to our family!
He is growing up so fast. In that second photo he looks so much like Logan in your side bar! Hope your doing well.
