Family Time

Nena sent this pics of the boys enjoying time with Mason.

Everyone was all smiles when we got home last night. After 2 solid days of pumping I was glad to trade my pump in for my baby.  We had some good snuggle time on the couch.  While a short break is nice, I always have Mommy guilt when I am away from my babies.  Another friend of mine described the same thing recently.

I am so very blessed.  It makes me feel guilty to admit that sometime, just every now and I then, a little break is nice.  I am a better Mommy when I can take care of myself too, even if it only happens once a year!

Chicago Here We Come...and There We Went. Fastest Trip Ever!!!

I had a work trip in Chicago this week so Steve decided to take off and join me.  I was in conference all day Tuesday and Wednesday but we made the best of Monday after we arrived.  We had 8 meals uninterreupted and 2 glorious nights of sleep.  I even got up and ran Tuesday a.m.  We are on our way home now where all the kids are waiting with Nena and Nana.  Can't wait to get some snuggles!

Atherton Wedding

Aunt Leslie and Shannon got married today.  Mommy's only responsibility for the wedding was the cake and I have to say it was the easiest cake EVER!  Frosted almost the entire thing with the back of a spoon.  LOL...oh, secrets of the baker. :)The ceremony was short and sweet, just the way we like them and completely adorable.

The kids had a blast at the reception.  Nana came along to help keep track of kids.  Even with her there was still managed to lose Gavin one time.  After mobilizing the entire security team of the Hilton airport hotel, we found him hiding under the appetizer table...oh that boy!

There was a DJ and the kids love to shake it so that was a hit.  Logan spent the majority of his time photobombing every single person in the photo booth.  I am getting tagged in pics on FB by Leslie with people asking, "Who is this adorable little boy?"

It is gonna be a busy week.  The boys are going tomorrow to stay with Nena for 2 days while Mommy and Daddy fly to Chicago for Mommy's work conference. Kate will stay with Nana and we fly out early Monday a.m!

Confession:Today is actually 11/22/14 and I am starting here to catch up on the last 4 months of life!!!

10 Months {Kate}

Oh sweet Kate...you thought Mommy's mascara was a prerequisite to your photo shoot today!  At 10 months you are a fireball.  There is no wandering whether or not you know exactly what you want.  You are eating everything you can get into your mouth.  You are still nursing or taking a bottle about 7 times a day and at least 2 of them are at night.  Since you are a tiny little thing I have not pushed sleeping through the night.  While your head needs 12month clothes, everything else would otherwise still fit well in 9month.  We haven't learned any more new words this month but you did get your first tooth on top.  You are keeping your Mama on her toes!

Homebodies

The kids were being so good tonight at home with each other.  Nights like these are rare. No one was fighting, hitting or yelling at each other.  They all played nicely and gave lots of lovins.  God must have known my soul needed this!

4th of July {2014}

4th of July was low key at our house this year.  All the neighbors were gone at a different locations so it was super quiet.  Our neighbor Jack, who is like an adopted Grandpa to the kids, brought home a huge variety pack as well as a 24 shot cannon.  I am amazed how well provided for we always are.  We definitely didn't have a budget for lighting things on fire this year.

It was a great evening with good company and we were crashed by 10p.m.
