Jammin' Fools

Anyone that knows these kiddos, knows of their love for music.  Tonight we watched most of a 50 music video collection on youtube of Pentatonix's greatest hits.  Love this group, but more importantly, love watching the joy in my children as they listen to the music.  They also do a hilarious rendition of the Frozen hit, "Let It Go."  Check it out!

Newman Thanksgiving

We headed to Grandma Dixie's tonight for the Newman Thanksgiving.  These kids are so blessed to have so many grandparents that love and adore them.  As stressful as the holidays can be, I am always reminded of this during this time of year.

Fun On the Farm

We headed to Wellington to the Norris farm for our traditional Thanksgiving fun today.  It was unseasonably warm.  The kids ran until they dropped.  Daddy worked so Mommy was on her own.  Thank goodness for supportive family like Papa and Lisa. The boys enjoyed their four wheelers like always, had time with cousins and played with baby kitties.

Crazies

This crew makes me smile!

Turkey Day {2015}

I decided that we were not leaving town for Thanksgiving.  So Nena and Papa came here and we walked across the street to Papa's house for lunch.  Confused yet?  Nena, Nana, Papa and Papa?  LOL.  None of our parents think they are old enough to be called grandpa and grandma.  Makes for interesting titles.  Kate was in a great mood today.  The boys had fun too!

Up Goes the Tree

With a one year old that leaves nothing alone and a house on the market, the tree will be a constant fight this year.  Instead of my traditional decorations, we decided only to use non-breakable this year.  That way, I didn't have to yell at the kids every 5 seconds to leave it alone or worry about anyone getting hurt.  It may look like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but it is ours.  My kids love decorations so much.  We have 3 sets of window clings up and are well on our way to getting in the Christmas spirit!

Messy, Messy

Oh Lordy...This girl.  Most of supper ended on her cute little face tonight instead of in it.  LOL. Gotta love her!

Who Loves Their Big Brother?

These kids love their big brother.   It difficult to consider that Christopher will soon be 18, graduated from high school and not living with is.  Of course we see him less and less with the business of being a teen.  But these baby siblings never miss a chance to shower him with affection.

Drastic Weather Changes

So last week it was 60 and sunny...this week it is 20 and freezing cold with snow!  I hate these drastic weather changes.  Not to mention that winter is my least favorite season.  I don't think I used to feel that way.  But, now with 3 small kids that want nothing more than to be able to run and play in the outdoors, this definitely puts a cramp in our routine.  I did let them head out for 20min to enjoy the snow.  Their little fingers were freezing by the time we made it back inside.  The boys helped Daddy shovel our sidewalks and Jacks.  Such good little men...

First Ponytail

It stayed in for a grand total of 15min.  This poor girlie with no hair!  First ponytail ever!

March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction

I have met many amazing families over my ten year nursing career.  The little girl pictured above, Olivia, is one of my most memorable.  I got to attend a dinner tonight her her honor as the March of Dimes Ambassador Family for this year.  The Glunts are amazing people who will never know how they have impacted my life.  I got the privilege of caring for their babies and in return learned so much from them.  The love they have blessed me with over the years pulls me through the difficult days at work.

Steve and I attended this dinner tonight as honored guests of theirs.  It was heart-warming to see so many people giving to such a great cause.

Mega Playdate

We decided we needed some times with friends today.  After playing outside and epic failure of an art project, the kids all kicked back for a movie during quiet times while Kate napped.  I love these girls and their babies.

Winter Zoo Trip

With a great weather forcasted for the day, we headed to the zoo with friends.  Not just any friends, Steph, Kylie and the boys.  Their daddy Justin came along too.  This family is very special to us.  Stephanie is one of our daycare providers.  She took care of Logan when he was at Kindercare from 1-2 years old and then decided to open a home daycare 4 years ago.  When I returned to work after Kate was born, we moved all the kids to Stephanie and Vanessa's daycare.

These girls love on my kids like they are their own.  Obviously, the kids share a good bond too.  So glad we got to go do something fun with them today!

Good Daddy

My work as a nurse and a lactation consultant impacts my family in many ways.  Whether it is having a living room full of new mommies needing breastfeeding help, stopping by someones house on our way home to help them trouble shoot a pump or attending birthday parties of my NICU grads, my kids take pride in what I do.  So when Gavin deciding on his own to put "Jim" skin-to-skin I was not at all surprised.  My kids have heard me preach the benefits of skin-to-skin relentlessly.  I think little Gavin has the makings of being a great Daddy in him!

Just Another Sunday Afternoon

We should have gone to church today.  But as you can see from Logan not even getting out of his pajamas...we did not.  We instead shared a much needed quiet day at home.  It was good for our souls!
