Fall in the Park

This morning we took the kids in their costumes out to mom's senior group at the college. We were planning on venturing out to the pumpkin patch one more time to see if we could get some better pics but we got the message loud and clear for several reasons that it just wasn't meant to be!

So instead we let the kids nap then squeezed in an hour at the park before we had to go back to all of our responsibilities. Who couldn't help but get caught up in the moment with babes like these?

Halloween at the zoo!

Cutest chicken in the world!
Chicken climbing the coop...

Chicken chases rooster!

Chicken milks the cow!

Yay! Out of the chicken costume!

Bat kisses...
I want, to suck, his blood! Ok, maybe just his nose...
Miss Batarina
The three kids...yes those are gray's legs next to Logan...
sitting front of the waterfall.
The Orangutans were outside today. First
time we've ever seen them out!

So as much as I had REALLY wanted to take Logan to "Night of the Living Zoo" it just didn't happen with everything going on this weekend. Abby actually drove over with her two little ones only to see the lines all the was out to the street and not a parking place to be had. SO what did we do today? Dressed the kids in their costumes and took them to the zoo!

Well...it's the weekend.

Hmm...what can we find in brother's room?
Heck yeah! His IPOD!
Mom made me put it back but I'm still in a good mood!

Okay so this boy was really in quite a good mood when I came home from work tonight...unusual for this late in the evening! I can't help but just wanting to squeeze him in his little striped PJ's! So cute...so I'm working this weekend(all 3 days). I know it's a shocker since I have been taking Friday off. I decided not to be such a slacker this pay period and actually have scheduled overtime(mainly so Logan can go to daycare on the 29th for the Halloween party). My supervisor was so confused when I asked her to put me on another day so Logan could go to a Halloween party. Oh well, such is the life as a nurse. I figure if he is going to daycare then I may as well work! I'd hate for him to miss out...most of the kids in his class go everyday so I already feel like he misses out on quite a bit.

Grandma Lori is visiting..haven't had any good photo ops yet because everyone is so tired by the time I get home but maybe tomorrow! Have a good Sunday everyone!

We're Running Behind!

...posting pics that is!
The boys in their Hurley T's

Today this sweet boy woke up very angry from his nap,
and fell back alseep so peacefully with the dog.
Note:Prior to the this the dog was getting ready to die.

Payton stayed with us this a.m. while her mom
did some stuff for work. The kids know they can't play
on the stairs but I do allow themto sit on the bottom step.
Looks like they are sitting on the naughty step!

Okay so back to the beginning...last night I gave the dog a bath. This morning while chasing Payton and Logan I put the dog out in the yard. I promise it was for less than 3 minutes! When I went out to get him, he was gone. So put Logan in the stroller and set off down the street carrying 25+ pounds of Payton. One and a half hours later and a call to animal control, I finally gave up.

Forget the dog...I swear if I saw him right then I would have wished he was dead! So we head back to the house. Less than a block from the house who should be chugging up the street to see us? Colby! OMG! So I ever so calmly leaned over and slipped his collar on(I had taken it off to give him a bath and forgot to put it back on plus it makes soooo much noise at night!). We walked home and while wrangling two one year olds I gave the stinky dog who had taken advantage of trash day and gotten into everyone's trash, another bath!

By the way...I did wish him dead. That was until he was the only thing that calmed Logan down this afternoon. He woke up screaming from his nap. I tried everything to no avail. Then he snuggled up next to the dog on the couch and fell back asleep for about twenty minutes. When he woke up the world was good again!

And the dog lives to see another day!

Lazy Days

We had a very laid back and low key kind of weekend. Went to a couple of garage sales yesterday and the grocery store today. Other than that we just hung out at the house. Logan ate, and ate, and ate!!! Our favorite food right now are: mac-n-cheese, pretzels, yogurt, yogurt covered raisins, yogurt melts, fruit snacks, dried apples, banana cookies, pancakes, any kind of bread and ice cream. I swear he is constantly chewing on SOMETHING. And if his snack cup gets empty we know. He walks right into the kitchen and starts digging in the pantry...smart kid! It has actually worked out quite nicely because if he leaves his snack cup on the floor the dog gets it. In the pantry there is a shelf that is within his reach and just out of the dogs reach. It has turned into the perfect spot for him to set his snacks!

Ice cream With Dad

My boys love, love, love ice cream. Logan loves everything 10 times more when it's off someone else's spoon or fork. Ice cream is no exception. I have to say though, I think this is one of Daddy's favorite spoiling moments!

Another Zoo Day

Someone decided to play in the dirt after lunch.
Payton really wanted to Logan to hold her hand...he did not!

Checking out the ADD animal that we've nicknamed Walter.
The crazy birds were soooo loud today!

Here's Payton telling the ducks to shhhhh.

And little Grayson...chillin as always!

A new blog...

As many of you who regularly follow me know, the woman in the above picture is my mom...a.k.a. Susan and Nana. I am so excited to be the first to share with you that she has started her own blog(Harvesting for Jesus). So, I was hoping you would all head over, check her blog out and give her a big bloggy welcome! She is planning some exciting mission work around the corner. I will let her share that with you as I know she is dying to get the word out! You have been an amazing source of inspiration and support and I know you will do the same for my mom.

With Mom

Chillin at the park with Mommy
Eating all the yummy rocksSuch a big boy!

This is how we wear our PJs when our
head is too big to fit through them!

This is a tough guy...not a sweater dude!

The Champion!

Logan and I have spent the last two days hanging out at home and not doing much of anything. I have to say...it's been soooo nice not to have had somewhere to be or something to do! Just soaking up the moments with my toddler!

Playdate

This morning Nana came over for a playdate.
Then we had an afternoon playdate with Payton!

Logan wanted to show her how we read books.

Then I got some extra help in the kitchen!

Alas the tired, dirty babes got a quick bath before the other mommy(Abby) arrived to reclaim her child. Little does she know we'd take Payton anyday! It's almost easier having 2 one-year olds. They somewhat entertain each other!

Catch Up!

It was a busy weekend...again! Friday Grandma Lori came for a visit. Then Mommy worked Saturday and Sunday so the boys were on their own. Sunday night Mommy came home to a clean house and a happy baby. Who could ask for anything more?
