Time With Payton

We spent today getting ready for carpet to be laid in our house tomorrow...moving everything possible out. Not too fun with two under the age of 18 months running and crawling around. The kids played so hard and were so dirty at the end of the day that they had to have a bath. Coupled with three meals and the fact that Payton stayed late with us because her daddy was out of town...well a bath was well deserved. These two little water bugs, I don't know what we are gonna do with them!

They are so much fun though so much work...I can only IMAGINE what kinds of friends they will be when they get older.

Zoo Day With Keegan

Today we met a former NICU grad of mine and his mom and dad at the zoo! It was so much fun. It was pretty toasty so we didn't have to fight for space...there weren't many people there. We stayed either indoors or in the shade and had a great time.

Logan knows no stranger and as you can see from the pics above climbed right up to Keegan's dad! Speaking of the pics, I forgot the camera so all I had was my phone. I never know how it is going to do. Some the pics are awesome...others are horrible!

We have several projects going at home right now...on the schedule for this week are the new carpet and starting to paint the outside of the house. Miss Jamie, Logan's daycare provider so still on vacation so that means Logan and Payton will be spending every day together at either our house or theirs...I hope they aren't sick of each other by the end of the week!

Garage Sales Are Great

Check out my newest toy!

I love garage sales...as do my parents. I'm sure that's where I got it. My husbandon the other hand is repulsed at the thought of going through someone else's stuff. Let me just say that minus the things that we got at our shower, Logan's entire wardrobe has been second hand...and it's been great.

Today we found this cool wooden activity center. The doctors office has one and I'm always grossed out at the idea of him playing with something all the other little sick kidshave had their hands on. Since this one was a bargain at $3 we had to have it! By the way, I think this picture is a little distorted. I know he has a big head butfor some reason the camera on my phone really makes it seem odd!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy and husband I know!

9 Months

This post is a few days late but I just couldn't get it done before work on Friday. I took Logan to the doctors for his 9 month check up on Thurs, June 17th.

At 9 Months Logan:
1. Weighs 19lbs and 10oz. (35%)
2. Is 28.5 inches long(55%)
3. Head circumference 19 1/8 inches(>95%)

He is on track and a little ahead on some things developmentally. The doctor was a bit concerned about his big head although we think it's just hereditary since Steve's nickname was tweety. If his head has another big growth spurt at a year then we will do an X-ray. We will also be seeing an opthamologist in a month to evaluate his clogged tear duct that has never resolved and talk about a possible surgery. You wouldn't think this is a big deal but after every nap or sleeping period he has he wakes up with his eye matted shut. After 9 months he is sick of us cleaning it and while he tolerates it, it usually results is a fit!

Logan still nurses or takes a bottle when mommy isn't home 4-6 times a day. He loves yogurt, cheese and crackers. He eats usually 8-10 ozs of baby food each day as well. We've discovered he gags the minute you put any of the stage three meals in his mouth(something about the texture with the chunks and liquid) but he loves stage three pears and oatmeal with apples and cinnamon.

He sleeps usually 8-9 hours a night and still gets up once to eat during the night but we're working on that!

Oh, how we love summer!

Buddies-Logan and Chase
The Crew

Logan loves to swing...

And he loves water,

...and he really loves his mommy.

He wasn't even scared of going under!

Bonnie a good friend of mine who moved to FL a few years ago, has been in town for the last week. I used to watch her son Chase on my days off while I was pregnant with Logan. We finally got to spend some time with them today as well as an old friend Kaitlyn and her daugheter Charlie(pictured below).

Chase was bit crabby as he had been awakened early from his nap but Logan loved every minute. This was his first time in a big pool and he was eating it up! He wasn't scared at all and did even cry to complain that the water was too cold.

I love these warm summer days when you are thankful for AC and cold drinks. I know all too soon that the dreaded winter will be here and we'll be trapped inside. Oh, and we almost have tomatoes ready. WHOOO HOOO!!!

The View Around Here

Happy Boy

Here's a quick pic from the zoo on Friday. It was wet and wild Friday and the kids loved it. We are going to make an effort to go on these days. Everyone got a little wet and it made the temperature tolerable.

We are right in the middle of the downstairs bathroom project! More pics tomorrow...on the birthday of someone very, very special!

Busy Weekend Ahead

Right now our little prince is sleeping. Speaking of sleeping, he let me sleep in until 7:45 this a.m. Let's hope we don't pay for it tonight. We went and visited Bonnie and Chase this morning. This evening was a dinner date at Nana's with Papa and Uncle AJ then we played cards. Logan was exhausted.

Tomorrow Logan is going to stay with Miss Donna(one of the girls I work with) while I get my hair cut in the morning. Then if the weater permits we are off to the zoo for some fun in the afternoon. Tomorrow night Nana gets to keep the little snuggle bug while the AJ and all the big kids come over to our house for some quality bonding time playing cards.

Saturday morning is garage sales as usual then clean, clean, clean....clean! Exciting news, we are getting new carpet! So everything that is touching the floor or would have to moved is being re-evaluated as far as rather or not we really need it. I used to hold on to things, now I think it's time to purge!

Sunday is Nana's B-day so it will be all about her. Church, dinner with the family...who knows what else!

With Mom

Logan and Daddy had a very long weekend while Mommy was at work. So today, it was just Logan and Mom. He treated Mommy by sleeping in until 7a.m.(praise the Lord we are almost always up by 5:30a.m.)! It was a lovely day.

McDonalds, Sofia and Goats!

Remember this little sweetie we shared with you a few months ago?
Today we met her family at McDonalds to catch up on how everyone is doing.

She's not so little anymore!

Then we went to Aunt DD's and played with a baby goat.

Logan thought he was funny.

What an animal lover he is going to be!
