Sunday Walk in the Park

We took a trip to our favorite duck park today after naps.
Truthfully we took a trip after Gavin's nap which is getting shorter and shorter.  Naps have been a thing of the past for this happy, almost 4 year old for quite some time.
There were some new baby ducks to watch.
There were all our favorite rocks to climb.
This happy little one was just glad to be free!
Watching them run and climb I was reminded how lucky I am to have children that are not limited physically.
I was also reminded how full of life and joy these two little ones are, even on the trying days.
I never tire of watching them interact with their Daddy.
I will never tire of their big, trained, "Cheese," smiles!
Logan is so tender with Gavin.
This tender-hearted little one steals my heart all the time!

We have had some belly/baby lovin', Red/White/Blue wearin, train track buildin' boys around here this weekend!

Road Trip With Daddy

While I worked today, Daddy took the boys on a road trip to Sedan for the Taylor Family reunion.  They also got to pop in and see Grandma Lori while they were down that way.  Daddy said the did fantastic in the truck there and back and had lots of fun meeting the extended family!

Zoo Besties

It has been a really busy summer.  Mommy has been working 2 jobs still and trying to save up as much $ and PTO as possible for when baby sister is born.  This means that days off and play dates with our besties have been very few and far between.

We ventured out to the zoo this a.m. while it was cool and had a great time!  I can't believe how big all these little ones are getting.  Gavin walked almost the entire way.  I remember when I was pregnant with Gavin that Logan would not walk anywhere and insisted on me carrying him.  It's crazy how different they are.

I miss our weekly zoo trip and frequent play dates but I am excited that we will have lots of time off to play together this fall!  Being around Miss Abby and P&G make me feel like we are just another normal family as opposed to a mom with her monkey like children that never seem to quite have it all together!  It's nice to have someone to relate to!!!

Catastrophe

Daddy went to Moore, OK again today to help with tornado relief and the boys and Mommy were on our own.  Our day started at 6a.m. and since they were up so early I decided to take them to get donuts(Mean, to eat in front of Mommy since her gall bladder is acting up and she can't have any! LOL).

They were so cute when we got back from the donut shop walking hand in hand together up the front steps, until Gavin started to fall.  Logan caught him but then lost his balance and try as I may I could not catch him.  His right eye smacked the bottom porch step.  There was blood coming from his eyes, his nose and his mouth.  Both boys were crying.

It looked much worse than it was, I didn't see anything ER could fix so we cuddled on the couch with some ice and eventually the day got better.  Logan and I dropped Gavin off for a little playdate with Stovers and we tackled some garage sales.  Sadly it was a disappointing garage sale day.  Logan's poor eye was almost swollen shut by the time we got home.  But we did find some cool Lego train tracks at the consignment sale here in town and that of course made everything better!

Boys and Toys

So we are officially into the trucks and blocks stage.  For two years now the doctor has asked at every well child check about Logan's ability to stack and build with blocks but that kiddo has had no interest.  Well watch out world!  Legos and mega blocks are our new favorite toys.  He loves to stack them on trains, trucks and anything else that will haul them. Gavin loves to watch and wreck them of course!

I think little Mr. Gavin is hitting a growth spurt.  We are constantly eating, ANYTHING.  He routinely brings me his bowl and whatever snack it is he is wanting from the cabinet.  He is obsessed with bowls.  Logan used to be content just eating out of the package(that was his favorite), in fact he still his.  Not Gavin though, we have to have a bowl!  Such good little manners...

Almost 27 weeks!

I had an OB appt today and everything is going great pregnancy wise!  I am measuring right on.  I did my glucose testing which I am just assuming will be fine since it was with both boys.  My blood pressure was 100/60.  My contractions have been very minimal, none I even consider reporting at this point.

This little girl is SO active.  It's probably a good thing because she has 2 rowdy boys to keep up with as soon as she arrives.  Although I am am anxious to see her gorgeous face I am not rushing this pregnancy.  As we walked out of church Sunday, a nice man was trying to be empathetic about the heat and made a comment about how miserable it must be.  My only response was, "It beats lying in a cold hospital room on bedrest any day of the week!"  Gavin's pregnancy really put my gripes and woes into perspective.  This pregnancy has been so easy and enjoyable.

So, keep cooking little girlie.  Get big and strong so you can make your grand entrance when it is time!

Father's Day {2013}

Mommy has been feeling much better the past few days...not sure if the diet changes have paid off or if I passed the gall stone but not too sure I care!  We had Papa, Lisa, Kate and Tyler over for supper tonight.

The kids had fun playing water gun/fights with Papa and Daddy.  Our newest $20 investment is the blow up pool, big enough that they can get all the way wet without being too much in the way.  Happy Fathers Day Steve.  You are the most amazing Daddy to our boys.

I have a couple more days of work then my long weekend off again.  Tomorrow is also my 27 week checkup and glucose testing.  Belly pic to follow with appt results!

Haircuts {Gavin's 1st}

Before
 After
While Mommy worked today, Daddy took the boys in for haircuts...Gavin's 1st!  I swore after Logan hated haircuts so much that we would start earlier with Gavin but his hair has just been so thin and fine.  I also was not ready to part with his baby curls on the back, but Daddy thought it was PAST time.  He looks like such a big boy now!  Steve assured me that he only cried for the first 30 seconds then was fine.

Logan, who has hated haircuts in the past, also did well.  As soon as Daddy told him that barber Brad loved to fish, they had something to talk about and he was completely distracted!  Summer cuts are here.

Under the Weather

I apololgize for my leave but it hasn't been a great week.  The boys are doing great, I just haven't felt like doing much.  Last Sunday I started have pain in my upper right abdomen, right under my ribs.  I toughed it out til Weds then called the doctor.  They drew labs which were fine and scheduled a gall bladder sono for Friday a.m.  Thursday the pain was severe enough I went to the hospital but I declined IV pain meds so they sent me home.  The sono Friday a.m. showed one small gallstone, at least thats what the tech said, of course my doctor hasn't gotten a report.

So for now, I am trying to figure out what I can eat that doesn't cause flare ups and what things I must absolutely avoid.  It's a tough process when one wrong decision leaves me miserable for hours.  I have never had pain like this.  I was medicated in high school for stomach ulcers but that pain pales in comparison to this.  Hopefully I can get this figure out soon.  I am told if it is my gall bladder, nothing will be done til after I deliver.  I had a really good day yesterday and was feeling much more hopeful. Prayers for decreased pain and an easy solution are greatly appreciated.  Hopefully I will get back to my normal self ASAP!

My next OB appt and glucose testing are next Tuesday...hard to believe I am already 26 weeks!  So far no issues with baby, no contractions and no bleeding.  I am so thankful.

Love, love

They love her already!
