Dinner with Family

Nana's family all came over for Easter dinner.  So that means the troublesome second cousins were on the move!  Usually we go to someone else's house.  However, since they wanted to eat at 1:15 in the middle of Gav's naptime I asked to have it at our house.  It was a good move I think....cleanest my house has been since right before Gavin was born!

We enjoyed great company and good food.  Another easter to remember...

Happy Easter

Here are some pictures of the kids with their Easter baskets. Baskets were kept simple(and cheap!) this year.  Each of the kids got a book, some teddy grams and their favorite snack...peppermint patty for Logan and gold fish for Gavin.  We are off to church to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.

We are SO thankful for the gift that Jesus gave of, his life, suffering the wrath of God for our sins.  We are even more thankful that he was resurrected from the dead and has risen!

Happy Egg Hunting!

The small hospital here in town where I work does an egg hunt each year for employees' kids.  Naturally we met up with the Maclaskey brood.  I was impressed that we at least got a picture with all the kids and the Easter bunny this year!  I don't know how many eggs that they put out but I bet each of my kids had at least 15 in their baskets...all with chocolate in them.  To top that, the Easter bunny walks around and hands out candy in their baskets between activities.  I am thinking that there is no way we are gonna get naps in today for the sugar high!

Egg Fun

The boys went to stay with Nana tonight and had fun coloring eggs with Nana and Aunt Kate.  I hear that they had fun doing some others things too like making and eating chocolate cake and running through the house like crazy people.  Aunt Kate says they are really good birth control!

Cuddles

Did you know that Mommy makes the best recliner?  Sometimes I wonder where we are going to put the 3rd kid! LOL.

Sweet Bunny Pics

Bunny pictures were really...interesting this year!  Logan was as loving as ever.  Gavin on the other hand, acted sweet and innocent.  We sat him on the trunk by the bunnies, he reached out to pet them, then he picked one up by the fur of his back and flung him across the room!  It was awful, really awful and the photographer was horrified.  Can I just say though that it was hilarious?  I laughed so hard and I cried and peed my pants!  Oh dear boys...

My Boys

Did you know Mommy makes a great couch?  We have all sorts of little chairs and pillows to sit on, yet they move prefer to lounge on me...all three of my babes in my lap...love it!  Logan has been taught from a very early age to say, "Cheese!" and smile for the camera.  Gavin has been a bit more resistant but tonight, he decided it was an ok thing!  I am cracking up in this pic because he kept saying, "Cheese!" then laughing hysterically.  These boys of mine fill my heart with joy.

Week 16, Hard to Believe

I had a doctors appt today.  It's difficult to believe I am already 16 weeks pregnant!  No ultrasounds but I heard baby's heart beat by doppler ticking away at 148 bpm.  I still haven't posted a preggo pic, I will try to get on that this weekend.  I am feeling much better, nausea is all but gone.  I haven't been sleeping well because I can't breathe.  With the boys' pregnancies my allergies got better, not worse.  That is very different this time around.  Dr. gave me a steroid nasal spray though I am feeling much better.

I am starting to feel baby move, love that.  Our sono is scheduled for April 15th, Christophers birthday.  I can't wait til I know everything looks great with babys main organs!

Bathing Boys

I don't have girls and haven't bathed many in my life so I can't tell you much about that.
But I can tell you that bathing boys is WILD!
My boys take a bath almost everynight and it is something they both enjoy.
Sometimes things can get out of hand though.
You have to laugh at the soaked curtains and dripping rugs because the alternative is to be angry and that is impossible with these cuties smiling up at you.

Besties

Happy Bday Payton! Abby had to go take the Expedition in to have a window repair and Miss P decided to come chill with Logan and I.  Poor Gav is still at daycare as I figured it was time for some quality big kid time without the babies, especially since Gray stayed home.

These two besties just make me smile.  They helped me make some Easter cookies(and eat them) and played outside as the weather is finally 60 and gorgeous today!  Yeehaw, come on spring!!!

Payton turns 4! Pony Party Extravaganza

Miss Payton turned 4 and we got to attend her pony party!  Logan rode a horse for first time...don't ask me how Gavin has been on a horse and Logan hadn't!  We roped calves and played pin the tail on the pony.  Gavin so graciously shared his cupcake with me.  Everyone had lots of funny little things to say about my already growing baby bump and how insane we must be to be adding to the Taylor Chaos so soon.  What can I say?  We are blessed...

OB Update Week #12

Since I found out relatively early that I was pregnant, I have already had 2 OB appointments.  The baby's heart rate was good at both.  I haven't been feeling really great(the boys shared a MEGA cold), and had actually lost a little weight since the last appointment.  Yesterday I saw the maternal fetal medicine doctor(aka high risk OB) just as a precaution since I had preterm labor with Gavin.

He felt confident that at this point there is nothing that needs to be done.  I don't have to start progesterone injections since I made it to term without them last time.  We will only start doing cervical length measurements if I begin to have contractions/bleeding/complications.  Honestly, I am absolutely stoked!  I thought for sure he would start me on one or the other.  So, hooray!  I am being treated like a normal OB patient for the present time.  After 24 weeks I will have sonograms for growth about every 4 weeks(due to an abdominal growth issue we had with Gavin that resolved on its own).

The HR yesterday was 149 and baby was rockin and rollin!  Keep growing little person...we can't wait to see how big you get.

Big Helper/Skillful Artist

Logan has been begging to stamp, bake and paint with me so this afternoon I picked him up early from daycare so we could do just that.  We used to use Gavin's nap time for these activities but anymore, I am so exhausted that nap time is quiet time for Mommy too!  I think he had a good time.  We made some yummy chocolate chip pumpkin bread and he made some awesome art work.
