Halloween 2015

We had our annual Halloween bash at Abby's tonight and had SO much fun. There is no doubt that it is their favorite "holiday" of the year.  We had a great time, collected WAY to much candy and successfully wore these kids out!  They are all sacked out like logs in bed right now.  Time for me to catch some zzzs too!

Sarcasm

There has been no shortage of it around here...

On the phone with a mortgage lender telemarketer...
Telemarketer:how are you?
Steve:wonderful
T:do you own your own house?
S:yes...
T:is it a mobile home or a stick built house?
S: its a cardboard box
T:describe it for me
S:it's a cardboard box
T:I did not understand that
S: it's a cardboard box
T: Lets move on. How would you rate your credit? Fair, good or excellent
S:poor-poor(Holli is already rolling on the floor laughing)
T:I am not sure you are going to qualify to have your home refinanced. I will have an expert contact you
S:I am not sure why I am talking to you

Gavinisms

Gavinisms
 Last night at supper praying...
Gavin:In the name of the father, and the cup and the one who spilled it!
This a.m. in the truck...

Logan: k-a-t(sounding it out)...mom, I know how to spell cat...C-A-T.
Me:Good job Logie.
Gavin:I know how to spell dog! B-I-N-G-O!
Lmbo...this child.

On the more serious side, I get to go back to work tomorrow.  I will still be in PT for a LONG time, but I am SOOOOO stoked to be back with moms and babies.

Oh Dear

She thinks she is one of the boys...apparently the fact that I wear skirts, don't walk around without a shirt on, don't wear grimy tennis shoes two sizes too big and pee sitting down isn't enough of a female role model. I might have to start doing my hair and wearing lipstick.

Busy Fall Day

Oh...how I love fall!  We had a blast at Nana's work pumpkin carving party tonight.  I love that she has a boss that is so family oriented.  All the kids helped but honestly had more fun playing on the metal staircase of the adjacent building.   While it made me super nervous, it made for some awesome pictures!

There were tons of other kids at the event too which was a definite plus!  I didn't post their pics as I don't have permission from their parents but the kids made lots of new friends.

Can you believe it is warm enough in October to half naked in shorts with no shirt at 9P.M.?  Have I mentioned how much I am loving this weather???

Park Date

Nana and Don took the kids today so Mommy and Daddy could have a little movie date.  They went to mass then to the park to play and have a picnic lunch.  We are meeting them later for pumpkin carving at Nana's work.  Such an eventful day!

Goofy Group

The Cryderman boys came to stay the night tonight and help me wear out my troublesome trio.  Kate adores Austin and she calls him, "My Austin."  Brayden and Gavin are the perfect mix of calm and crazy and Logan and Austin act more like siblings than friends.  Anytime that anyone hurts Austin's feelings Logan is right to the rescue to protect him and make him feel better.

I heard some parents talking about not letting their kids do sleep over.  I think about how much that might of changed the way I grew up.   My parents knew all my friends' parents and siblings almost as well as I did.  I am so thankful we have a few close friends that I would never hesitate to let me kids stay with.  They learn so much from each other  Highlight of the evening: The boys were SO excited that they had their own toothbrushes at our house.  I will do anything to make brushing cool!

Hands Up!

Christopher stayed for dinner tonight and the kids were giving him a run for his  money!  Sis had him a gunpoint while the boys were shooting him from all directions.  He may never come back!

Homecoming Parade

Today was Augusta's homecoming parade. Logan was so excited because he got to walk in the parade. Steph walked with the school age kids while I kept the littles to watch.  Though the parade was shorter than I remember El Dorado's homecoming parades being, these kids collected an ENTIRE bag of candy.  There was plenty to share with the kids back at daycare.

This evening Gavin and Kate were being super snuggly together, sharing their bowl of popcorn and being total cheese balls.  I am loving this weather and not ready to winter weather to come!

Community

Thank goodness for Stephanie Cryderman...Kate hardly made it through bedtime routine before she crashed...Gav gave me a run for my money before I finally won but I conquered another bath and bedtime routine without Daddy and with my bum leg. I am so blessed to have my friends, family and coworkers to help me through this pitiful time. It is worse than bedrest because I feel fine and only my own well being is at stake. Love to you all... Thanks to my girlies at work for taking care of dinner for the next week!!!

Truly Blessed

How blessed I am...

Crafty Time

While visiting grandma and grandpa this weekend, we found these awesome pinecones at the park near their apartment.  One of my favorite things as a Girl Scout where was making or participating in things that would help animals.

Since Daddy had never made these before, this girl scout had to show him how it was done.  Funny thing, there are hardly any trees in our neighborhood to hang them in!  We had fun anyhow and blessed daycare with some awesome bird feeders!

Grandparent Visit!

,
Since Uncle AJ was in town for a visit for Nana's wedding, we drove to Winfield to see Grandpa Kenney, Grandma Wilma and (my) Great Granny Grace.  I love that my family is close enough the my kids actually know their great-grandparents.  I wish we made it down to see them more.  Life is just SO busy.

Either way, I will praise Jesus for every day we have them...every time we get to see them...every time my kids get to hold them.  They are a big part of why how I am the person I am today.

2015 Family Pics

All pics courtesy of Jennifer Stapp of Sugar Snap Studios.  Typically I try to take all our own pics, but given the mobility of my young children that are incapable(or simply won't follow) direct instructions...I found it worthwhile to engage a fellow photographer.

By this pics I am sure you can tell, our kids were in rare form(just keepin' it real here). But we did have a little bit of fun!  And Jennifer was great to help hide my full leg brace! What could be better than fall family pictures?

Today, my Mom got married.  While my parents' divorce was painful I am so happy that they have both found happiness again.  Nana's new husband Don is a true gentleman.  My kids adore him and he adores my mom.  What else could we ask for?  I made their cake so the past few days have been a whirlwind!  But the evening ended peacefully with all my kids exhausted in their beds.  Congrats Nana and Don. We are so happy for you!
