This is Gavin eating chips, out of Colby's water bowl-YUM.

Most of you probably know that we lost both of our large breed dogs when I was pregnant with Logan.  When I got put on bedrest with Gavin, Mom decided taking Colby would be helpful and give her a companion since she was living by herself.  He is still a regular visitor to our house and the boys love having him.  He stayed with us this week while mom was out of town.  Poor dog is probably ready to go home and have a spare moment without children chasing him around!

Gavin is big enough now that he is able to feed and water him and he really gets a kick out of it.  Each morning this week, as soon as we woke, he ran to the kitchen to "give Colby his food."  It's amazing how fast he is growing up.  Logan and Colby are old pals and Logan always loves having him sleep at the foot of his bed.

Big Shoes

Gavin has become obsessed with putting on everyone's shoes here lately.  Here he is in my running shoes the other day.  His other favorite pair is Christopher's nasty tennis shoes.  I would post a pic but they are so gross the screen would probably melt!

Cheeseballs

My two cheeseballs were nacho cheesier this evening after getting into the Doritos!  I think a certain little brother is starting to look more and more like a certain older brother.

Rainy Day With Friends

Today we were supposed to go to the zoo with our besties but the rain all morning changed our minds!

Instead we went to Walmart and picked up a few rainy day activities including tie-died shirts.

The kids were perfectly content to dance around in the rain puddles and throw water and mud on each other.

Oh, how I love these little ones and hate that they are growing so fast!

Lovins & 31 Weeks

My lovey little boys were actually being photogenic tonight.  It's about time as we went a whole week without pics due to some crabby little men.

I had my 31 week appointment yesterday.  I have gained 25 pounds so far, heart rate was 137 and little Miss is head down.  My gallbladder has still been acting up, creating some other GI symptoms that have also stimulated some nice contractions.  The Dr. checked me just to be sure but I wasn't dilated.  So, the plan is that I can continue to work and go about my normal business until I start dilating.

It's difficult to believe that with Gavin at 31 weeks I was already on bed rest.  I can't imagine trying to be on bed rest with 2 little boys running a muck!  I am so glad this little girlie is cooperating so far.

Family Camping {2013}

The boys went to family camping with Papa this year.  I had a 2 day fetal monitoring class for work and Daddy had to work too so we didn't get to attend.  The boys didn't actually camp, just went down Saturday during the day.  Camping was a sand pit in Mulvane this year, very different from camping at Council Grove Lake.  I think they had a good time although Papa did say he was plum worn out after chasing my two little maniacs all day!

I am a little depressed that I didn't get to go as dad thought that this would probably be the last year.  With Great Grandma gone and the family being as big as it is, getting everyone together seems all but impossible.

I think what bothers me more is knowing that this sweet little girl of mine is not going to know such an important lady in my life.  We are truly blessed to have so many grandparents still around, but that doesn't stop me from wishing I would have gotten a pic of my great grandma with my own little lady.  We do have pics of Great Grandma with the boys though and these I will treasure.

A Baby 'Sprinkle'

My great friends through me a little "sprinkle" today for baby girl.  It was low key and exactly what we needed.  We had a great time playing with all our buddies and little Miss got some cute, cute stuff to wear!

Logan was really disappointed when we left.  He keeps asking when Baby Sister is coming.  He said, "No, Mommy!  We had her birthday party now she has to come!!!"  He really doesn't quite understand the party aspect coming before the baby.  LOL.  Poor, sweet boy...I keep telling him that his sister will come after his birthday(WE HOPE!), but he just isn't quite satisfied.  These boys can't wait to see and hold and love on their princess.

4th of July{2013}

Here is our attempt for a family pic this year...these crazy boys!  It's hard to believe next time this year we will have another little one to hold on to.

Logan had a really difficult evening.  We even had to bring him in a lay him down for a little while and he still woke up cranky and crying.  There was no lighting off fireworks for him tonight, he wanted nothing to do with ANYONE.  I guess we all have days like that!  Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th!

Boom!

The boys have both been loving the fireworks this year.  They are particularly fond the snappers and I think we should have gotten a per case discount as many we have bought!  Nana took them to buy some extras tonight to light off(not that we haven't been lighting a few!).  They had a good time.  Getting Logan back ont rack for bedtime after this week though is going to be tough!   I will be so glad when I don't have fireworks going off for 2 hrs while Gav tried to fall asleep.

In Our House

 In our house a certain 3 year old likes to use the carpet tack strip as a Dino holder.  Who knew that Dinos could stand on their tails?

And, in our house a certain 1 year old loves to stand out the window and point out all the cars and trucks driving by...a favorite new past time!
