What just happened?

Tonight we were sitting on the couch and all of a sudden Logan says, "I just lost a tooth!"  He was so excited to get to bed so the tooth fairy could visit.  In our house we want our teeth nice and clean for the tooth fairy so we put our lost teeth in a glass of water on the window seal. We will see what the tooth fairy trades for this gem tonight!

WebSlinger Insertions(AKA dental work for Gavin)

I took Gavin to the dentist for his procedure this morning.  There was a friendly CRNA there that anesthetized him.  I was worried about keeping him NPO, getting his IV in and how he would wake up from the meds.  I convinced Gavin that the CRNA was going to put in a webslinger(AKA an IV).  Thankfully he didn't fight us and the IV went in without an issue.  It took only about 10 sec for his eyes to roll back in his head and for him to fall asleep.  Considering this child never stops moving, it was kind of scary.  But the staff assured me that he was well, vitals stable and I left the procedure room. About 45min later they came out to tell me that all fillings were completed and asked if I would sit with him while he woke up.  Thank goodness that one of side effects of the anesthesia was short term memory loss.  He would have been really upset if he had remembered that he supposedly had a webslinger inserted and woke up to find it not there!

The funnies part was while Gavin was waking up he was talking incoherently.  The CRNA told me he thought that he was good to leave whenever I felt comfortable.  All of a sudden Gavin spouts out, "HE SAID I AM READY." LOL...quite a difference from the babbling he had been doing.  Ok Gav, let's go!

Love Bugs

The boys were outside playing while sis was napping this afternoon.  Gavin fell while walking up the steps(yes, he is my child) and hit his chin, bit his tongue.  Logan went right to the freezer and pulled out the boo boo pack.  He settled Gavin in the recliner with the ice pack under his chin and gave him his Nabi to use as Gavin's was dead.  What a good big brother.

Cousin Date!

We had fun yesterday with the cousins.  I will always love this farm.  I can remember similar pics of my siblings and my cousins playing in the sand box on this very same ground. I am so glad that my kiddos get to see their cousins and have these experiences...love my family!  Now I need to go capture Stella and Dane's birthday party on camera.

Nana's Bridal Shower

My mom's bridal shower was this afternoon.  While I won't say it was the most lively party I have ever attended, it was full of love.  I got to see some of mom's oldest friends which brought back some fun childhood memories.  We are out at Ethi's farm for the evening now, will post cousin pics tomorrow.

Nana & Don's New Crib

Nana and Don bought a new place at an auction a few weeks ago.  Today, we went out to help them move in and get settled.  The best thing that came with the house was this precious kitten whom Nana has named "Cobweb."  Gavin is clearly in love.  Logan was being camera shy for some reason but Kate and Gavin stole the show.  I can see many more memories being made here.

Mama Skills

I had to catch this picture tonight of Kate and mad mothering skills.  She has been diapering her babies for months.  But tonight is the first time I have seen her try to spoon feed them.  It was too cute!

Logan {1st Day of Kindergarten}

After a full week of work, one of the girls covered for me for a few hours so I could take this guy to his first day of school. Logan was so excited, there was definitely no need for tears.  I know he is going to do just great!

Hanging at Home

We had a nice calm day at home today.  The kiddos were full love joy and love.  It was beautiful outside and we spent much of the day playing outside while Daddy went and checked on all his jobs. I love their smiles...

Safely Home

We made it home safely.  The kids were not ready to go when I picked them up at Nana & Don's.  But tonight when we got home, they requested a movie and popcorn night with Mommy and Daddy. So that is of course exactly what we did.  It was refreshing to sleep through the night, eat a meal without someone on my lap and get dressed in 5 min instead of 50.  But a part of me was missing without these three crazy kids all week.

Vacation 2015 {Day 6-Goodbye Aruba}

We are headed to the airport.  I spent a few more hours by the pool this morning and Steve camped out at the casino.  I am not ready to leave Aruba, but I will be happy to see my lovies back home.  Happy anniversary babe!  I know we are a few weeks early celebrating but I am so glad I got this time with you.  It doesn't seem like it has been 10 years.  I hope the next 10 years will be as full of love and fun.

Vacation 2015 {Day 5}

After a relaxing morning of sunbathing, we decided to catch a bus and head out of the resort on our own.  It may not sound to adventurous but on an island with the official language being Papamiento, it quite entertaining.  Spanish is widely spoken on the island as well but English not spoken much outside of the resorts.

We picked up some items for the kiddos.  We also spent some time down by the pier checking out some of the wildlife.  When we got back I finally talked Steve into a beach picture with me.  It was a long but good day and our last full day here.  Time flies when you are having fun.  Our flight out is tomorrow afternoon.  I am gonna enjoy the rest of the evening with my love!

Vacation 2015 {Day 4}

After breakfast a quick pic of the iguanas(Steve calls them Aruban squirrels) we ventured out to see the sights!

We decided to be brave today and took a Jeep tour of the island.  It was windy and dusty but the guides were funny and the scenery was beautiful.  The tours focused on the opposite part of the island which is very dry and the shoreline very rough.

These neatly little stacked rock formations are called "Wishing stones."  The legend has it that if you think of a number and begin stacking rocks to the number then make a wish prior to placing the last stone, and it stands for at least 10minutes then your wish will come true.  There were miles and miles of these stacked rocks...it was a little creepy.

The Natural Bridge which used to be Aruba's #1 tourist attraction collapsed several years ago but there was another smaller natural bridge adjacent to it that you can see above.  Our tour ended climbing down a very steep, rocky hill the "The Natural Pool."  The water was pretty rough so we didn't get to stay in for long but the pool is a round little rock formation with a deep hole in the middle that the ocean water rushes into.  I got in and took and deep but Steve chose to stay on solid ground.

The amount of grime that we bathed off ourselves upon returning to our resort was disgusting!  The last pic is us waiting for our dinner reservations...having fun for sure!
