Friends at the Park

We had fun with Berkley and Brendan at the park today. We took a picnic lunch to enjoy but Gavin had way more fun eating the dirt. Since about 2 weeks ago Logan has decided he can do slides all by himself but this is the first picture I have gotten...he looks less than thrilled. But I assure you he hopped off at the end and was so pleased with himself!

On weekends home with the kids by myself I need these sort of playdates to keep us all sane and alive!!!

PJs and Diapers

Yeah...it's noon...and we are still in our pajamas/diapers, Mommy included! We are having an all around lazy sort of day, FINALLY!

Little Toughies

Some days I wish every corner of my living room was padded...that I had a rubber walled room to lock these two wrestling maniacs in...but mostly that I always had the video camera on!

They crack me up with their endless wrestling and tackling back and forth. The sounds of their giggles make me laugh, evening if I am trying to be stern.

What the world needs now...

...is sleep, precious sleep!

Daddy has been gone working and we are really missing him.

I am too exhausted to fight both kids so they have been ending up in our bed.

The bad thing is, they both crash about an hour before I have to get up for the day!

This too shall pass...Daddy will eventually be home(in 3 weeks).

Mommy has a business conference coming up and plans to catch up on her sleep then!

All night every night while Gavin thinks he needs to nurse every 1.5 hours, I am reminded of how extremely lucky I am to have the opportunity to nurse my child and that I have never been burdened with buying formula. Still, at times I think to myself..."Curse demand feedings!"

I think part of me feels bad for working wto jobs and being gone 6 days a week.

Of course my babies just want me at night!

Don't you know that when all the cool dogs party anyhow? Lol. Oh dear...mommy needs sleep.

Plenty of time for that when I am dead(ok, maybe overkill...but plenty of time for sleeping when the kids are much older and hopefully before they start depriving me of sleep again in their teenage years!)

On the farm again!

We ran back up to the Edwards' today to spend some time with them and help Ethi out. My boys do love the outdoors. I think Logan would have spent all day watching the goats. Ethanni bought the house she grew up in as a child. She said to me several months ago, "I want them to know and love this place like we did." I think we are well on the way...

Baby Stella and Dane

We have a new baby cousin! Mommy spent the morning taking Stella's newborn pics and Dane's one year pics while the boys had a playdate with Nana. Sometimes everybody and their newborns give me baby fever!

Gavin {10 Months}

Oh dear little handsome ham of a boy...how I adore you!  Not much has changed for diet or sleep in the last month.  I do think you are going through a growth spurt.  18month clothes are fitting you well but mommy hasn't had time to put all your 12 month things away so you are wearing both!  Your little legs have chunked right up!  You walk EVERYWHERE, crawling is most definitely a thing of the past.  You are so vocal.  Your words include: Mama, Dadda, Bubba, Nanna, no and "love you!"  The daycare provider tells me that you often tell her, "No, no, no" back when she gets on to you.  I find it difficult not to laugh at your sweet face much of the time.

You like to do everything your big brother does and you LOVE to swing!  We have spent many whole evenings in the back yard on the swing set just to keep you happy.  I can't believe we are inching ever closer to your birthday.  I am reminded daily that you are not a baby anymore.
