Vacation 2015 {Day 4}

After breakfast a quick pic of the iguanas(Steve calls them Aruban squirrels) we ventured out to see the sights!

We decided to be brave today and took a Jeep tour of the island.  It was windy and dusty but the guides were funny and the scenery was beautiful.  The tours focused on the opposite part of the island which is very dry and the shoreline very rough.

These neatly little stacked rock formations are called "Wishing stones."  The legend has it that if you think of a number and begin stacking rocks to the number then make a wish prior to placing the last stone, and it stands for at least 10minutes then your wish will come true.  There were miles and miles of these stacked rocks...it was a little creepy.

The Natural Bridge which used to be Aruba's #1 tourist attraction collapsed several years ago but there was another smaller natural bridge adjacent to it that you can see above.  Our tour ended climbing down a very steep, rocky hill the "The Natural Pool."  The water was pretty rough so we didn't get to stay in for long but the pool is a round little rock formation with a deep hole in the middle that the ocean water rushes into.  I got in and took and deep but Steve chose to stay on solid ground.

The amount of grime that we bathed off ourselves upon returning to our resort was disgusting!  The last pic is us waiting for our dinner reservations...having fun for sure!
