I Got Shots But I Don't Care!

Does this look like a child in pain and agony over another set of shots? I think not! Logan received his 2nd Influenza & H1N1 shots today as well as his3rd Prevnar. He did so well at the office. He cried for just a minute then as soon as we were on the movehe was fine. Usually following shots I have to nurse him for a good ten minutes to get him to calm down. Not this time.

His weight was 18lbs and 14 ozs. We didn't do the full exam with measurements since we just stopped in to see the nurse for the shots.

Sweetness

My sweet boy is growing so fast...still. Do they ever slow down? I'm guessing not! We are off to help with a consignment sale in the morning. If anyone is looking for quality kids clothes come and see us Fri, Sat and Sun at the 4-H building. Message or email me if you need more info!

Blowing On Dandelions With Daddy

I know it doesn't look like it here but the whole family has come down with colds again. Logan started it on Saturday and Steve and I finally joined him Sunday night. So we all stayed home and played hookie together today trying to get better.

These pics are from Saturday though...anything we could do to get him to smile! Dandelions apparently are hilarious! Steve would pick one, blow all the little feathers off of it and Logan would laugh and laugh.

My Blog is Carbon Neutral

A bloggy friend of mine introduced my to this program that was initiated in Germany, originally by the "Make It Green" program with the goal being to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. For every blog that participates they plant one tree thus eliminating the carbon footprint for fifty years. How cool is that!

The US partner for this initiative is the "Arbor Day Foundation." With the goal of helping to reforest 5,500 acres of Plumas Natioanl Forest in northern California, "The Arbor Day Foundation" is a non-profit conservation and education organization.

Hanging Around

Since we did nothing except run around like crazy people the last two days, Logan and I decided to stay home today. It's almost 4 p.m. and we haven't even gotten out of our PJ's! Don't let that fool you...we did get up at 6 this a.m. The storm moved in right as I was laying Logan down for his afternoon nap and anytime I put him down a huge rumble of thunder to clamoring of hail would come crashing down and he would scream. So, I got to hold my baby for his entire nap today. That means mommy was forced to nap also. Oh darn! Now we're off to put away the ten billion loads of laundry we got done earlier.

It was a very busy weekend to say the least. Mom mom took the pics of Logan outside while she had him on Sunday. I worked Monday but today they had too much staff so I took a day off. We kept busy by picking up Abby and Payton and heading to the zoo. The above pic was taken with my new phone while we were waiting for the gorillas to be fed. Payton really was not putting her hand on his mouth...I think it's funny that this is how it turned out. Both the kids slept for over an hour in the car with Abby while we stopped by the hospital so I could attend a meeting. Luck, pure luck. That and the fact that they neither one got a.m. naps then we wore them out at the zoo.

Tomorrow I have another newborn photoshoot then we're off to Maize for some photoshop lessons. Go, go, go...it's all we do!!!

Even though Christopher's birthday was on Thursday we celebrated tonight. I guess it was kind of like an extended birthday! Nina and Brylie came from Haven. Nana and Papa, Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Marvin, Aunt DD and Uncles Les, Ethanni, Grandma Wilma and Grandpa Kenney were all there too! We had a nice little housefull. With the kids growing so fast it's great to have an excuse for get togethers.

It seems like only yesterday that Christopher was an ornery but shy little seven year old who used to wrestle his dad for my attention. He's now taller than me and quite content by himself as long as he has one of gadgets to keep him busy. Happy Birthday Christopher! Hope you had a great day.

Today was the March For Babies. We had such a good time. Any excuse for fresh air and a nice walk is good with me. It was so fun to have a little one to share it with this year. Olivia is getting so big. I'm so proud to be a part of her story and to know her wonderful family.

While Mom Is Away...

...daddy and Logan do play! I've been at work the last two days and Logan has been home with his daddy. Steve even remembered to get the camera out. While Logan played in the grass and with the dog, Steve planted the rest of the garden. Now everything is in except the squash which we are still waiting on to sprout.

Logan still loves bath time. He's big enough to sit up in the toddler end of his infant bath tub and loves chasing the bubbles with his hands.

We have a busy weekend. Tomorrow is March for Babies then we have some shopping to do. A very special young boy turned 13 yesterday and his birthday party is on Sunday evening. Sunday afternoon we are off to take some pictures of a very special, very new little girl.
